Do we real need to celebrate Freedom Day ?

Should young people be celebrating days like freedom day? This is a Question to All young people of Khayelitsha and South Africa at large. There are people who are still making decision on behalf of young people in our communities and those people are real not ready to see development taking over. In the past week, we saw young of ward 91 (site B area) having a protest outside the newly renovated Nolungile Mall, reason being that non of them have being included in the employment list. And a person who is suppose to be co-ordinating development in Khayelitsha did not resist from saying those young people are clueless meaning "its a rebel without a causes" that the youth were embarking on. Do we real need to celebrate Freedom Day ?

Khayelitsha Youth Development Council conference

Khayelitsha Youth Development Council will be going on a conference from the 9 till the 11 April 2010. Member Organisation, Community Based Organisation and all Khayelitsha Municipality demarcation Wards are urged to submit name of the people that will be attending the Conference. The closing time will 6pm on the 8th April 2010.
